iPhone 30. December 2009
New iPhone page released - see it here If you try the page in an Internet Browser - then it wont work with Internet Explorer. I have test it with Firefox and Google Crome without any problems.
Raingauge heater installed 27. December 2009
Homemade raingauge heater installed. Its 2 12 volt/5 watt lightbolts which is powered by a old transformator. Hopefully it kan melt the snow and meassure precipitation and put on sleet and snow icons on the website Click for more pictures at the gallery
Humiditysensor replaced 27. December 2009
Temperature- and humiditysensor was replaced. I have for a periode wondered about the very low humitity readings. Therefor I decided to change the sensor. Right after the replacement the humidity rised 10% and now it shows a more realistic meassurement.

Warning of snowstorm and about 10 cm. of snow broke the record of visits - total of 635 visitors in one day.
New WX-computer 24. November 2009
Today we installed a new WX-computer - a Acer Revo 3610. The computeren is only 18x18x3 cm and is very silent. Meassured over 3 days it uses only 20 watt, so it is lowpower compared to our old WX-computer At start it gave big problems getting wx-software working. The reason for that it came with a 64-bit version of Windows 7. A big thank you goes to Mogens from Voer Vejr

MySQL error 2. July 2009
Our webhost (Gigahost) has problems with too many useres of MySQL database at their webserver. Ustable website 1. July 2009
Because of a broken router our website has been unstable. Our router has now been changed and hopefully will our website run smooth again. Vi are sorry.

FARS (Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield) 28. May 2009
Today we mounted a FARS, which ventilates the "house" where the temp sensor is located. The FARS I was sent from Christian from Langesø Weather, as a thank you for helping him with his website. I think is very generous of Christian and I owe hime a big THANK YOU. Facts about FARS: FARS for common use. Airflow is 2,5 m/s. Nearly up to 75% effective to reduce the effect of solarradiation. Solarcell powered fan runs during day. As there is no battery backup the fan will simply stop at the evening, where the effect of the solar radiation falls. The set contains fan, solarcell panel and radiation plates shown in the pic above.

Raingauge 9. April 2009
Modified the raingauge from 0,3 mm (0,01 inch) to 0,2 mm. In the manual the following is registered: Installation of Metric Measurement Adapter (optional) The rain collector tipping bucked mechanism contains a standard measurement weight magnet that takes measurements in 0,01". The ISS hardware kit contains a metric adapter that adjusts the weight of the tipping bucket mechanism so that it reports 0,2 mm metric measurements for every tip of the bucket. To install the metric adapter: 1. Find the metric adapter included in the hardware. 2. Locate the magnet between the arms of the bucket. 3. Open the arms slighly with one hand while pulling the magnet out with the other. 4. Separete an end cap from one end of the magnet. 5. Slide the magnet, exposted end of the magnet first, into the open slot of the metric adapter. 6. Insert the metric adapter and magnet between the arms of the bucket, with the solid side of the metric adapter facing up

WXSIM 22. March 2009
The forecast software (WXISM) was upgraded to version 12.5 and 4.5. WXSIM can now "learn" from its own mistakes, and then make the future forecasts even better.
Twitter 21. March 2009
Weather at Silkeborg signed up for Twitter. Twitter is automatic updated with current weatherdata by Weather Display. At the same time Twitter updates my Facebook automatic.

Script to control of flatline weather data 27. February 2009
Installed script from Juneau County Weather, Mausin WI, USA. the scritp checks for flatline data from the weatherstation If this happens an e-mail will be sent, so the problem can be solved. Problems with flatline of weatherdata happens rarely, and is most often caused by a disconnection between the USB connection from the weatherstation and the computer. When it happens the weather data will not be updated in Weather Display, and data will be staying at the same value until Weather Display is restarted.
Minimize to tray 27. February 2009
Installed the software Powermenu from http://www.abstractpath.com/powermenu/, which can minimize programs to tray. I use the program to minimize Weatherlink. I have setup System Scheduler to do the job automatic.

Today we installed a new forecast compare script made by Jim McMurry from Juneau County Weather, Mausin WI, USA The script compares Weather at Silkeborg´s forecast and forecast from yr.no to the actual weatherdata. See here how accurate our forecast is.
DIT TV 2\|VEJR nu 15. February 2009
Today "Weather at Silkeborg" signed up for DIT TV 2\|VEJR. Delivering data to DIT TV 2\|VEJR is used the software called "Weatherlink", which is adjusted to the new weatherstation
New vejrstation! 14. February 2009
Today a new weatherstation was mounted - a "Davis Vantage Pro2", which I was given by Ole Jørgensen from Fensmark Vejret. I owe Ole a big thank you. The installation went well - but the anemometer started to go crazy because the weathercomputer wasent grounded. When I got the powercable to the computer grounded the problem went away The change from Lacross WS-2305 to Davis Vantage Pro2 was real easy in Weather Display. We also use the software Weatherlink. To be able to use both weather programs we use the program "VirtualVP" from Softwx.

Severmove 20. January 2009
The site was moved to faster webserver, which meaned some minor troubles for the visitors. After the servermove, the sits is much faster. I owe Gigahost a thank you for there support for making the site faster

An Acroymn for METeorological Aerodrome Report. It is the primary observation code used in the United States to satisfy requirements for reporting surface meteorological data. Minimum reporting requirements includes wind, visibility, runway visual range, present weather, sky condition, temperature, dew point, and altimeter setting.
